Dunno about FTL (haven't tried that yet, not even ansible) 
but socialism with (or without) dignity sucks. It's a 
consensual reality thing: it (more or less) works, as long 
most of the participants believe in it. As soon as it stops, 
there's a threshold/avalanche effect, and everything is 
suddenly going to the dogs. w00f.

Someone please remind me to keep believing in capitalism.
I'd hate it if this particular consensual reality would suddenly
collapse.
